Sazae-san took the top spot in Japanese TV animation rankings for the week of June 16-22, 2025, with a 6.4% average household rating. This was followed by Detective Conan at 4.8% and Chibi Maruko-chan at 4.4%. The ratings are based on data from a survey of households in Japan’s Kanto region and do not include recordings watched later.
The week also saw the finale of The Dinner Table Detective which earned a 2.7% rating. Additionally, a late-night broadcast of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX garnered a 3.2% rating, and Your Forma achieved a 2.4% rating.
Other animated programs that aired during this period include Yaiba: Samurai Legend (2.9%), You and Idol Precure♪ (2.7%), Doraemon (2.5%), Crayon Shin-chan (2.5%), One Piece (2.4%), and Oshiri Tantei (1.5%).
It is worth noting that a separate category for “Serialized TV Novels,” or “Asadora,” saw an episode of Anpan achieve a significant 16.8% rating on Friday, June 20, at 8:00 a.m., with another episode on Tuesday, June 17, at 12:45 p.m. earning 11.9%. This new live-action morning series is inspired by the life story of Anpanman manga creator Takashi Yanase.
