Kodansha’s K MANGA service has officially launched Sei Soragami’s office romance manga, “Twenty and the Beast” (Nijū to Seijū), in English. The announcement was made on Thursday via K MANGA’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
About “Twenty and the Beast”
The manga, created by Sei Soragami, originally launched in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine in October 2022. As of May 13, Kodansha had shipped the sixth compiled volume of the series in Japan.
Plot Synopsis
“Twenty and the Beast” follows the story of Aya, who, at 20 years old and in her third year as a working adult, gains her first junior colleague, Yamato Higa-san. Higa-san, aged 26, is described as kind, pleasant, and highly popular within their department. However, he uniquely teases Aya, his trainer, revealing an “alpha male” side exclusively to her. This dynamic leads to Aya struggling to focus on her work due to the mature and smart Higa-san constantly taking the initiative.
Availability on K Manga
“Twenty and the Beast” is now available for English readers on the K MANGA platform, offering a secret office romance with a slightly “S-type” older junior. The service provides access to various chapters, with some available for free. As of July 17, 2025, chapters such as “Chapter 1 Escorted by a Wolf” and “Chapter 5(1) Silence and Bewilderment” were listed as free.
K Manga’s Growing Library
K MANGA continues to expand its digital library, offering a wide array of manga titles simultaneously with their Japanese releases, including other popular series like “The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity” and “A Sign of Affection.” The platform aims to provide a legal and accessible way for international fans to read newly released manga chapters.
