Kodansha USA’s K Manga subscription service has officially announced the addition of Suzu Kayukawa’s The Noble Student and His Cinderella (Taishō Gakusei Aisai-ka) manga to its English-language simulpub lineup. This move expands K Manga’s growing catalog of simultaneously released titles, providing readers with timely access to new manga chapters as they debut in Japan.
The announcement was made on July 2, 2025, via K Manga’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. This continues K Manga’s strategy of bringing a wide array of ongoing Japanese manga series to a global audience, directly managed by Kodansha’s editorial team.
About The Noble Student and His Cinderella
The Noble Student and His Cinderella is a historical romance manga set in Tokyo during the 10th year of the Taisho period (1921). The narrative centers on Fuki, a 24-year-old maid in the esteemed Tachibana family manor, who experiences a reunion with Yugo, the family’s son. Yugo has returned home to pursue studies at The First Imperial University.
The plot unfolds as Fuki’s engagement is dissolved, and Yugo is tasked with finding a suitable wife. In a surprising turn, he proposes marriage to Fuki. Despite the societal norms of the era, which required parental consent for marriage, and the significant disparities in both age and social standing between them, the story chronicles the commencement of their married life. The series explores the relationship between the “admirable maid” and the “elite student” as they navigate the complexities of their union.
Suzu Kayukawa launched The Noble Student and His Cinderella in June 2024 on Kodansha’s Morning two digital magazine. The second compiled book volume was shipped by Kodansha on April 23.
K Manga’s Expanding Simulpub Offerings
K Manga, which launched as Kodansha’s dedicated English-language distribution platform in May 2023, has been steadily adding new simulpub titles since its inception. The service aims to replace previous simulpub agreements and offer an extensive catalog, including a significant number of ongoing series released concurrently with their Japanese counterparts. Prior simulpub additions have included titles such as Versus and NakiNagi, demonstrating K Manga’s commitment to delivering fresh content directly to its readership.
