The official website for the Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf (Kanagawa Elves) light anime has announced four additional cast members and confirmed its premiere date for December 4, 2025. The series is set to broadcast within TV Kanagawa’s (tvk’s) local midday news and variety program Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide at 12 noon JST.
Expanding the Cast of Kanagawa Elves
The newly unveiled cast members, all of whom hail from Kanagawa Prefecture, will lend their voices to key characters, enriching the anime’s depiction of elves living among humans.
The new additions include:
- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Yōsei-san (Fairy) and the narrator.
- Yūsuke Nagano as Elf from Yokosuka.
- Yūki Inoue as Elf from Sagamihara.
- Gō Fujii as Orc from Machida.
These actors join the previously announced main cast: Chiaki Kobayashi, who voices the protagonist Elf from Yokohama, and Yu Hayashi, who plays the Human from Kawasaki. Both Kobayashi and Hayashi are also natives of Kanagawa Prefecture, further grounding the production in its local setting.
Premiere Details and Broadcast Information
The Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf light anime will officially begin airing on December 4, 2025. Viewers in Japan can catch the episodes as part of TV Kanagawa’s daily Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide program, which airs at 12:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
About Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf
Based on Yoroida’s fantasy slice-of-life manga series, Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf tells a comedic tale of elves who, after their forest home was destroyed by a fire two years prior, now reside in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture. The story explores the humorous and often heartwarming interactions between these fantastical beings and the humans of various cities across the region, such as Yokohama, Kawasaki, and Sagamihara.
The light anime series is directed by Yuji Umoto. Animation production is handled by IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio.
A Dual Adaptation: Anime and Live-Action
Interestingly, the Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf manga has received a dual adaptation. Alongside the upcoming light anime, a live-action TV drama adaptation also premiered on September 30, 2025, airing on the very same Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide program. This parallel adaptation highlights the growing popularity and unique charm of Yoroida’s original work.
