Japanese singer Kaya and the special unit Utahime Dream All Stars have been announced as the artists who will perform the opening and ending theme songs, respectively, for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of A Tale of the Secret Saint (Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hitakakusu). The fantasy series is slated to premiere in April 2026.
“Flare of Soul” to Open the Secret Saint’s Journey
Kaya, known for her powerful vocals, will deliver the opening theme song titled “Flare of Soul”. Her involvement brings a dynamic start to the anime, which follows the story of Fia Ruud, a knight-in-training who secretly harbors the reincarnation of a powerful ancient Saint.
Kaya debuted as a major artist in January 2022 and has a history with the Utahime Dream project, where she performed as HiREN. Her previous works include the opening theme “Reincarnation” for the fall 2025 anime Hero Without a Class and the upcoming ending theme “Sanctuary” for the winter 2026 anime Hell Mode. Commenting on “Flare of Soul,” Kaya expressed that the song “depicts the heart that lives straight, gentle, and strong like Fia, even while resisting the fate that has been given.” She hopes the song will resonate with viewers and gently encourage them forward.
Utahime Dream All Stars to Conclude Episodes with “STELLAR”
Providing the closing notes for each episode will be Utahime Dream All Stars with their ending theme song, “STELLAR”. This special unit comprises all the cast members from EARTH STAR Entertainment’s multimedia project, Utahime Dream. The project itself, launched in 2023, features female cast members acting as original characters, “Utahime,” who perform classic Japanese popular songs.
Rena Yamasaki, who voices Ibuki Yumesaki in the Utahime Dream project, shared her delight regarding the All Stars’ opportunity to perform the ending theme. She highlighted the song’s lyrics, which “resonate deeply with the work,” and noted that “STELLAR” offers a distinct vibe for Utahime Dream compared to their previous works. The unit has previously contributed theme songs, such as “NO GIFTED” for the summer 2024 anime I Parry Everything!.
The Anticipated Premiere of “A Tale of the Secret Saint”
The anime adaptation of Touya and chibi’s popular light novel series, A Tale of the Secret Saint (Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hitakakusu), is scheduled to begin airing in April 2026. Felix Film is producing the series, with Tomoe Makino directing. Deko Akao is overseeing the series scripts, Satomi Kurita is designing the characters, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.
The story centers on Fia Ruud, who, after a near-fatal injury, regains memories of her past life as a powerful Saint who defeated the Demon King. Fearing a repeat of her painful previous life, she tries to conceal her renewed magical abilities while striving to become a knight. The light novel and manga series are published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
