Kazusa Inaoka’s Previous Works and Style
Kazusa Inaoka has garnered attention for her unique storytelling and distinctive art style in earlier projects. Her most notable work to date is i tell c, a crime-suspense manga that was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine.
The Detective World of i tell c
I tell c ran from February to June 2021, with its chapters compiled into three tankōbon volumes. The series followed a unique premise within the crime-suspense genre, featuring detective Risa Aioi, who possessed an unusual predilection for falling in love with the criminals she pursued, often leading them to confess their misdeeds. This “fight poison with poison” approach made i tell c a distinctive entry in its field. The manga was also published digitally in English by Viz Media and Manga Plus.
Other Notable Contributions
Before i tell c, Inaoka also serialized Kimi wo Shinryakuseyo! (Invade You) in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump GIGA magazine, which later moved to Weekly Shonen Jump before concluding in September 2018. Her diverse portfolio indicates a versatility in crafting engaging narratives across different genres, from shonen comedy and romance to mystery and suspense. Fans are eager to see the direction Inaoka will take with Ikenai Futari in her latest venture.
