Diving into the World of Kunon the Sorcerer
“Kunon the Sorcerer Can See Through” originates from a web novel by Umikaze Minamino, which later became a popular light novel series illustrated by Laruha. The story centers on Kunon, a sorcerer born without sight. His unwavering ambition leads him on an extraordinary journey to become the first person to utilize water magic to create new eyes for himself. Despite his disability, Kunon quickly surpasses his teachers and develops unique magical abilities, allowing him to sense colors, craft useful items, and even conjure a lifelike cat from water. His exceptional skills and ingenuity soon catch the attention of the royal court, earning him an apprenticeship with the land’s most powerful magician. Yen Press publishes the English version of the light novels, describing Kunon as a blind prodigy whose repertoire continues to grow as he defies common sense.
