The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Enju’s fantasy light novel series, Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods (also known as Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei), has announced three additional voice cast members. The newly revealed cast will join the previously announced Shōgo Sakata and Shinshū Fuji for the anime’s 2026 premiere.
The new cast members are Minako Kotobuki as Torika, Shinnosuke Tokudome as Seri, and Makoto Koichi as Utsugi. These announcements build anticipation for the series, which is set to bring the popular slice-of-life fantasy story to screens next year.
Expanding the Divine Roster
The latest additions to the cast will portray key characters who interact with protagonist Minato Kusunoki in his unique residence filled with gods.
Minako Kotobuki as Torika
Minako Kotobuki, known for her roles in series such as Hibike! Euphonium, will lend her voice to Torika. Further details regarding Torika’s character and her role in the narrative are expected to be unveiled as the anime’s promotional activities continue.
Shinnosuke Tokudome as Seri
Shinnosuke Tokudome, who has appeared in Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen, has been cast as Seri. Seri is anticipated to be another integral resident of the Kusunoki household, contributing to the lively and divine atmosphere.
Makoto Koichi as Utsugi
Rounding out the new announcements, Makoto Koichi, recognized for work in Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idomu to su, will voice Utsugi. Utsugi’s presence will further enrich the ensemble of peculiar gods drawn to Minato’s purified home.

Prior to this latest announcement, the production team revealed two significant cast members.
Shōgo Sakata as Minato Kusunoki
Shōgo Sakata, known for roles like those in Blue Archive the Animation, was previously announced as the voice of the protagonist, Minato Kusunoki. Minato is a young man tasked with looking after a house that, after his extraordinary ability cleanses it of evil spirits, becomes a sanctuary for various gods.
Shinshū Fuji as Yamagami
Shinshū Fuji, recognized for voicing characters such as Rei Utsubo in The Fable and Kanetsugu Mato in Wave, Listen to Me!, will play the mountain god, Yamagami. Character visuals and a trailer for Yamagami have already been released, showcasing both of the mountain god’s forms.
About Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods
Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods originated as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in April 2021, later moving to serialization on Kakuyomu. ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint began publishing the light novels with illustrations by ox in November 2021. The series currently has 10 volumes in Japan, with Yen Press handling the English release in North America. Yen Press describes the story as a serene slice-of-life fantasy where Minato Kusunoki finds himself living peacefully surrounded by spiritual neighbors after clearing his inherited house of evil spirits. A manga adaptation by Akira Anzai also launched in November 2021.
The anime is slated to debut in 2026, with further details expected to be revealed at Animate Girls Festival 2025 on November 9.
