About the Series
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior is based on the villainess isekai light novel series written by Tenichi and illustrated by Suzunosuke. The first season, animated by OLM, aired in Japan from July to September 2023, consisting of 12 episodes. HIDIVE streamed the first season in select English-speaking regions.
The story centers on Pride Royal Ivy, an eight-year-old who realizes she has been reincarnated as the wicked queen and final boss of an otome game. Possessing sharp intellect, formidable powers, and the influence of a crown princess, Pride initially plans to unleash chaos. However, upon understanding the grim future that awaits, she decides to abandon her villainous path and instead protect the male love interests, striving to save as many people as she can. The series explores whether this “final boss” can ultimately earn the adoration of her kingdom.
Norio Nitta directed the first season, with Deko Akao handling series composition and Hitomi Kono as the character designer. The music was composed by Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Junko Nakajima. The voice cast includes Fairouz Ai as Pride, Maaya Uchida as Stale, Haruka Tomatsu as Tiara, Junya Enoki as Arthur, Kikuko Inoue as Roza, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Albert, and Koji Yusa as Gilbert.
The light novel series, published by Ichijinsha, has released 10 volumes as of April 2025, with an 11th volume set for publication in Japan on July 2, 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the light novels and manga adaptations in English.
