The official staff for the television anime adaptation of Yama Wayama’s Let’s Go Karaoke! manga has announced four new cast members joining the series. These additions, all portraying yakuza characters, were revealed on Tuesday and are set to appear in the anime’s fourth episode airing this Thursday.
The newly announced cast members include:
- Taichi Takeda as Sake (alcohol) Allergy
- Shōhei Kajikawa as Former No. 4
- Takumu Miyazono as Nakibokuro
- Soungdok as Gura-san (Mr. Glasses)
Expanding the Yakuza Ensemble
The quartet of new voice actors will contribute to the portrayal of the yakuza members within the Let’s Go Karaoke! narrative. The story centers on Satomi Oka, a middle school choir member, who finds himself entangled with yakuza boss Kyouji Narita, who enlists Satomi’s help for an upcoming karaoke contest to avoid a terrifying tattoo punishment.
These four new additions join an already extensive cast for the series, which includes Shun Horie as protagonist Satomi Oka, Daisuke Ono as the yakuza Kyouji Narita, and Shinnosuke Tokudome as Wada. Other previously announced yakuza-affiliated characters and their voice actors include Jin Urayama as Boss, Yōji Ueda as Alien, Hidenobu Kiuchi as Big Brother Yamaha, Shigeo Kiyama as Pinky Finger, Yukihiro Nozuyama as Punch Perm, Rintarō Nishi as Shaved Head, Masaaki Yano as Kitty-chan Phobia, Ikuji Nose as Anikibun (Leader), Kenichi Mine as Long-Faced, Yūma Uchida as Jersey, Yūki Ishikari as T-shirt, and Masuo Amada as Former Cram School Teacher.
Premiere and Production Details
The Let’s Go Karaoke! anime premiered on July 24, 2025, on ABEMA, before its TV Tokyo broadcast on the same day. The series also airs on BS11, Kansai TV, Nagoya TV, HBC Hokkaido Broadcasting, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting. It airs concurrently with Captivated, by You, another anime adaptation of a Yama Wayama manga, which is scheduled to debut on August 21.
Asami Nakatani is directing Let’s Go Karaoke! at Dōga Kōbō, with Yukiko Tsukahara serving as assistant director. Yoshimi Narita oversees the series scripts, Mai Matsuura is responsible for character designs, and Takurō Iga is composing the music. Ayumu Imazu performs the theme song titled “HOWL.” Both Let’s Go Karaoke! and Captivated, by You anime series are set to have a stage presentation at the KyoMAF event in Kyoto on September 20, 2025.
