The television anime adaptation of Kyōsuke Nishiki’s supernatural comedy manga, Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right (Chanto Suenai Kyūketsuki-chan), is officially slated to premiere on October 12, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a new key visual, building anticipation for the clumsy vampire’s animated debut.

The series will broadcast in Japan on AT-X at 10:30 p.m. JST, followed by airings on Tokyo MX, Kansai TV, and BS Asahi. For viewers outside Japan, the anime will be available for streaming on platforms such as U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and d Anime Store starting October 13, 2025.

A Glimpse into the World of a Clumsy Vampire

Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right centers on Luna Ishikawa, a second-year high school transfer student who, despite being a vampire, struggles with the most fundamental vampiric skill: sucking blood. She aims to maintain a cool and mysterious facade, but her inherent clumsiness and inability to feed properly constantly threaten to expose her secret. Her predicament changes when her classmate, Tatsuta Ōtori, discovers her secret and, in an unusual turn of events, offers to help her practice her blood-sucking skills, even referring to himself as her “Mama.” This comedic premise promises a heartwarming slice-of-life story that avoids the darker tropes often associated with vampire narratives.

The newly released visual offers a vibrant look at the series’ central characters and its lighthearted tone.

Production Team and Voice Cast Details

The anime is being produced by studio Feel., known for its work on various animated series. The directorial reins are held by Sayaka Yamai, with Yuniko Ayana handling the series composition and Takuya Tani designing the characters. Tomoki Kikuya is composing the music for the series, with Lantis producing the music.

The voice cast features a talented lineup bringing the quirky characters to life:

  • Minami Tanaka as Luna Ishikawa
  • Kenshō Ono as Tatsuta Ōtori
  • M.A.O as Eiko Sakuma
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Misa Kusunoki
  • Katsumi Fukuhara as Daichi Chiba
  • Yuya Hirose as Satoru Deguchi
  • Shion Wakayama as Maimi Suzuki
  • Konomi Inagaki as Yui Hashimoto
  • Ayasa Itō as Yukari Henmi
  • Kotono Mitsuishi as Misuzu Kirimine

The opening theme song, “Seishun no Silhouette” (Youthful Silhouette), is performed by HΔG, while the ending theme song, “Senkō Hanabi” (Sparklers), is performed by HΔG and Minami Tanaka.

Source Material and Upcoming Events

The anime adapts Kyōsuke Nishiki’s manga series, which was serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine from May 2021 to August 2025. Eight tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2025. Yen Press has licensed the manga for English release, describing the protagonist Luna as a vampire who is “short and clumsy, and she can’t even suck blood properly!”

Fans can also look forward to a pre-broadcast livestream featuring voice actors Minami Tanaka, Kenshō Ono, and M.A.O, scheduled for September 16, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT).
