The popular manga series, Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right (Chanto Suenai Kyūketsuki-chan), is officially set to conclude its serialization with its next chapter on August 8. The announcement was made in the August issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine.
A Brief History of the Series
Penned and illustrated by Kyōsuke Nishiki, Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right began its serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine in May 2021. Over its run, the series has accumulated eight compiled tankōbon volumes as of April 2025. The manga gained a following for its unique comedic take on the vampire trope, centering on Luna Ishikawa, a seemingly mysterious vampire who struggles with the fundamental act of sucking blood. Her secret is discovered by her classmate Tatsuta Ōtori, who then endeavors to help her master her vampiric abilities.
Impact and Future Adaptations
The manga’s conclusion comes as the series is poised for further exposure, with an anime television series adaptation produced by Feel slated to premiere in 2025. This anime adaptation was announced on February 4, 2025, and will be directed by Sayaka Yamai, with scripts by Yuniko Ayana.
For international fans, Yen Press has licensed Li’l Miss Vampire Can’t Suck Right for English publication, with the first volume released in July. Kadokawa also began digitally publishing the series in English on platforms like BookWalker Global starting in June.
The finale on August 8 marks the end of the manga’s serialization, but its universe will continue to expand through its upcoming anime adaptation and ongoing international releases.
