A Delicate Love Story Unfolds in July 2026
“Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky” centers on the poignant connection between Kakeru Sorano and Koharu Fuyutsuki. The story begins on a spring night when Kakeru, an introverted university freshman, meets Koharu, a blind girl who exudes warmth, laughs often, and dreams of experiencing fireworks. Despite her inability to see, Koharu possesses a vibrant spirit that contrasts sharply with Kakeru’s reserved nature. Their relationship gradually blossoms after Kakeru helps her with her white cane, leading them both on a journey to find light and meaning. Koharu’s desire to “see fireworks” becomes a powerful symbol in their evolving bond.
The source material, a light novel by Nanigashi Shima with illustrations by raemz, has garnered significant acclaim. It notably won the Grand Prize at the 15th GA Bunko Awards and was ranked #3 in the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024” new titles category. Yen Press released the English translation of the novel in January 2025.
