The upcoming original anime series, Maebashi Witches, has revealed three new guest cast members, adding to the already enchanting ensemble. The announcement was made during the anime’s stage presentation at AnimeJapan 2025 on Saturday, March 22, 2025, heightening anticipation for the series’ premiere on April 6, 2025.
“Maebashi Witches”: A Magical Coming-of-Age Story
Maebashi Witches is an original anime produced by Sunrise, set in Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture. The story revolves around five high school girls who are scouted by a mysterious frog named Keroppe to become witches. Yuina Akagi, a first-year high school student living an ordinary life, finds her world transformed when Keroppe recruits her and four other girls. They discover a hidden closet in their school that leads to a magical flower shop, where they sing, dance, and grant people’s wishes.
New Cast Members Revealed
The newly announced guest cast members include:
- Yū Serizawa as Eiko Zen, the first customer to visit Dreamy Dreamy Flower. Eiko is concerned about her future career.
- Nao Tōyama as Rinko Mitsuba, a shop visitor from Tokyo who returns to Maebashi for a class reunion.
- Akari Kitō as Yua Hosaka, a university student from Maebashi who appears to be related to Mai.

Production Team & Release Details
Maebashi Witches is directed by Junichi Yamamoto at Bandai Namco Filmworks and PROJECT MBW, with Erika Yoshida handling the series scripts. Yu Inami is credited with the original character designs, while Nozomi Tachibana is designing the characters for animation. Yoshiki Imazu designs the Witchverse, and Yuri Habuka is composing the music.
The anime will premiere on April 6, 2025, on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST, followed by BS11 at 12:30 a.m. JST on April 7. It will also air on Gunma TV on April 11 at 11:30 p.m. JST.
Story and Setting
