The popular fantasy series, Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I’ll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest!, is officially set to receive a TV anime adaptation in 2026. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a teaser visual and initial production details for the upcoming series.
The Genesis of a Magical Debt Collector
The Magic Repo Man saga began as a web novel written by Masakichi, which was then adapted into a manga illustrated by Shingo Iijima. The manga is serialized on Flex Comix’s COMIC Meteor, with its fifth volume slated for release in Japan on November 14, 2025. For English-speaking audiences, Seven Seas Entertainment holds the license and will be publishing the manga.
The Japanese title for the series is Kashita Maryoku wa “Revobarai” de Kyousei Choshu ~Party Tsuihosareta Ore wa, Kawaii Support Yosei to Isshoni Toritateta Maryoku o Unyoshite Saikyo o Mezasu. Genkai made Shiboritotteyaru kara Jikoku o Miyagare~.
Plot Summary: From Lender to Retriever
The story centers on Lent, an adventurer who possesses a unique “Gift” allowing him to loan vast amounts of magic to others. Initially a vital member of an up-and-coming party known as the “Skypiercers,” Lent’s utility is eventually questioned as his companions grow stronger through his loaned magic, while he himself lacks combat prowess.
Betrayed and deemed expendable, Lent is unceremoniously kicked out of the party. However, his anger and despair awaken a hidden, more powerful aspect of his Gift: the ability to forcibly reclaim the magic he’s lent out, with interest. Driven by a desire for revenge and accompanied by an adorable yet devious fairy partner, Lent embarks on a new path, aiming to claw back every last scrap of magic from his former allies and become the strongest. This premise offers a fresh take on the fantasy genre, blending elements of magical combat with a unique “debt collection” system.
