Tarō Yuri’s manga series, “Boy Meets Shinrei Girl” (also known as “Boy Meets Spirit Girl”), is set to conclude on April 28th in the 140th issue of Kadokawa’s Dengeki Daioh G magazine. The 139th issue revealed this information on March 27.

A Glimpse into the Story

“Boy Meets Shinrei Girl” centers around Mizushima, an unremarkable livestreamer who possesses the ability to see spirits. His life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a message from the popular spirit livestreamer, “Mourning Clothes,” who had mysteriously disappeared. The message leads Mizushima to a ruin, but instead of finding Mourning Clothes, he encounters a ghost named “Goldfish.” Goldfish proposes a collaboration: they should become spirit livestreamers together and rise to influencer status.

Publication History

Yuri launched the manga in Dengeki Daioh G in March 2024. Kadokawa published the first compiled book volume of the manga on November 27.

Tarō Yuri’s Other Works

Besides “Boy Meets Shinrei Girl,” Tarō Yuri is also known for the manga “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary” (“Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai”), which launched on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in April 2022. The sixth volume of “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary” was released on November 9. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary,” with the first English volume scheduled for release on April 29. “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary” is also inspiring an upcoming TV anime.
