The official website for the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved anime film has unveiled its non-credit opening sequence, additional cast members, and a new visual. The film premiered in Japanese theaters on June 27, 2025.
The opening theme song, “Namida no Parade” (Parade of Tears), is performed by fhána, who also contributed to the TV series. Kyoto Animation is responsible for the animation production, with Tatsuya Ishihara directing the film.
Additional Cast and Returning Voice Actors
New additions to the voice cast include Fumihiko Tachiki as Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad. Shiori Sugiura takes over the role of Ilulu, replacing Tomomi Mineuchi.
The film also features a returning cast, reprising their roles from the anime series:

Additionally, Shinya Takahashi and Azusa Tadokoro are voicing fairies.
Film Details and International Release
The movie has a runtime of 105 minutes (1 hour 45 minutes) and directly follows the events of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2. Crunchyroll has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights (excluding Asia) and plans to screen the film in North America in Japanese with English subtitles. An advance screening of the film was held in Japan on May 26. The film also previewed the ending song “Our Days” by Sachiko Kobayashi.
