The upcoming anime series DIGIMON BEATBREAK, set to premiere in October 2025, has officially announced its main voice cast, featuring prominent voice actors Miyu Irino and Megumi Han.
Miyu Irino will take on the role of the 15-year-old high school freshman protagonist, Tomorou Tenma. Irino has a notable career, having voiced characters such as Jinta in AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Akito in Code Geass content, Ritsu in Mob Psycho 100, and Sora in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. He previously had a role in the Digimon franchise as Monzaemon in an episode of Digimon Ghost Game. Irino commented that Digimon was a significant part of his childhood, and he hopes that the new series will bring similar excitement to current generations.
Megumi Han has been cast as Tomorou’s partner Digimon, Gekomon, a reptile-type, Data-species Digimon in its growth stage. Han is well-known to Digimon fans, having voiced Takeru in various Digimon Adventure content, Nokia in Cyber Sleuth, and Witchmon in Digimon Ghost Game, among other roles. A self-professed long-time Digimon fan, Han expressed her continued fulfillment of dreams through the franchise and hopes to provide something unchanging and universal for those who have always loved Digimon.
DIGIMON BEATBREAK marks the 10th television series in the long-running Digimon anime franchise. Character visuals inspired by the series’ world have also been released alongside the cast announcement.
