Returning Veterans and Production Details

Kensho Ono reprises his role as the protagonist Hathaway Noa (also known as Mafty Navue Erin), alongside Reina Ueda as the enigmatic Gigi Andalucia, Junichi Suwabe as Kenneth Sleg, and Soma Saito as Lane Aim.
The production team also sees a strong return of key staff members. Director Shukou Murase leads the project, with Yasuyuki Mutou handling the screenplay. Character designs are once again helmed by pablo uchida, Naoyuki Onda, and Shigeki Kuhara, while Hiroyuki Sawano continues to compose the film’s musical score.
However, the team also welcomes some new talent. Yuichi Kuboki joins Takako Suzuki as a color key artist, Yoshinori Sayama is credited for display designs, and Yoshihisa Ōyama steps in as the new compositing director of photography. Manabu Kamitōno will be directing the visual effects. The Sorcery of Nymph Circe: Plot and Narrative Shifts
The second film, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, is described by Bandai Namco Filmworks as an intense space opera. It will delve deeper into Hathaway Noa’s internal conflict as he grapples with his unresolved feelings for Gigi Andalucia and his commitment to MAFTY’s mission. Simultaneously, Kenneth Sleg prepares for the suppression of MAFTY, while Gigi’s pivotal presence is set to alter the destinies of both men. The story continues to explore the clash between the anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty, its leader Hathaway Noa, Gigi Andalucia, and Federation Colonel Kenneth Sleg.
Producer Naohiro Ogata has previously indicated that the second installment will feature some narrative departures from Yoshiyuki Tomino’s original Hathaway’s Flash novel series, from which the trilogy is adapted. The film project is a trilogy, with the first part having been released in June 2021. The story is set twelve years after the Second Neo Zeon War. The next stage of the film series is reportedly set in Australia.
The film’s initial announcement saw it with a working title of Kidō Senshi Gundam: Senkō no Hathaway: San of Bright, where “San” could be interpreted as “sun” or “son,” referencing Hathaway Noa’s lineage as the son of Bright Noa.
Fans can look forward to Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe arriving in Japanese theaters on January 30, 2026, with North American screenings to be announced at a later date.
