Voice actress Momo Harumi has been officially announced to join the cast of the upcoming “Scum of the Brave” (also known as Yusha no Kuzu) TV anime, where she will lend her voice to the character Yukine Indo. The series is slated to premiere in January 2026.

Momo Harumi will portray Yukine Indo in the highly anticipated anime adaptation of “Scum of the Brave.” While specific details about Yukine Indo’s role in the story are yet to be fully revealed, her inclusion marks another key casting announcement for the series. Harumi is known for her roles as Sakurako Umeyashiki in “Me and the Alien MuMu” and other minor roles in various anime, demonstrating her versatility in voice acting.
About the Scum of the Brave Anime
“Scum of the Brave” is an action-fantasy series set in an alternate mid-21st century Tokyo. The city’s underworld is dominated by mafia members who have undergone “Ether Enhancement Surgery” to become formidable “Demon Lords.” To combat these powerful figures, bounty hunters known as “Heroes” emerge, enhancing their own ether abilities with a drug called E3.
The narrative follows Yashiro, an independent Hero known as the “Grim Reaper,” who desires a simple life of pizza, beer, and card games. His routine is disrupted when a self-proclaimed high school girl disciple, Shirogamine (also referred to as Aki Jogamine in some sources), forces her way into his life, leading him into a series of troublesome events and deadly conflicts.
The anime adaptation is produced by Studio OLM, renowned for its work on series such as “Pokémon” and “The Apothecary Diaries.” Shinji Ushiro is directing the series, with Yoichi Kato handling series composition and screenplays, and Kenichiro Suehiro composing the music. Rika Murakami is responsible for character designs. The series is set to broadcast in Japan on the Nippon Television network.

Prior to Harumi’s announcement, it was revealed that Ryōta Suzuki will voice the lead character, Shinigami Yashiro (Grim Reaper Yashiro). Akari Kitō has also been cast as Aki Jogamine (Shirogamine). The “Scum of the Brave” anime is based on the light novel series written by Rocket Shoukai and its manga adaptation by Nakashima723. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2026, building anticipation for this modern supernatural action drama.
