The official website for Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded, a new anime series based on MIXI’s popular mobile RPG, has released a teaser trailer, revealed key cast members, and announced its theme songs, building anticipation for its October 21 premiere. This iteration marks the first Monster Strike anime to be broadcast on terrestrial television in Japan, airing on Tokyo MX and over 40 other channels.

A New Chapter in the Monster Strike Saga

Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded is set to continue the expansive multimedia franchise, which originated with the mobile game in 2013. The game, a “pull hunting RPG” where players become Monster Masters, has garnered over 64 million users worldwide as of May 2025. While previous Monster Strike anime adaptations have primarily streamed online, this new series will reach a broader audience through its television broadcast. The anime is slated for a single cour, typically comprising 12-13 episodes.

Plot Overview: A Return to Kaminohara

The story follows protagonist Ren Homura, who returns to his childhood town of Kaminohara but finds his memories of the place fragmented. Concurrently, a mysterious game called Monster Strike is forcibly installed on his smartphone, thrusting him into a series of battles. Through these intense fights, Ren endeavors to piece together his scattered memories and uncover the truth behind the game, aided by his companions Aoi Mizusawa, Akira Kagetsuki, and Minami Wakaba. Together, they delve into the unknown, unaware of the hidden secrets beneath the surface.

The Voices Behind the Characters: Main Cast Revealed

The newly announced cast features a lineup of prominent voice actors bringing the characters of Deadverse Reloaded to life. The main cast members include:

  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Jugemu, a mysterious character who suddenly appears in Rinne’s path.
  • Kana Ichinose
  • Kana Hanazawa
  • Inori Minase

Further details on the specific roles for Ichinose, Hanazawa, and Minase are expected to be unveiled.

Sonic Landscape: Theme Songs Announced

The musical accompaniment for Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded will feature both an opening and an ending theme. While the exact titles and artists for Deadverse Reloaded‘s theme songs were not immediately available in the provided search results, previous Monster Strike films have featured notable artists like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who performed the theme song “Kizunami” for Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata.

Production Team Driving the Animation

Directing Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded is Masao Ōkubo, known for his work on the Record of Ragnarok anime series. He is joined by assistant director Noriyuki Nakamura. The animation production is handled by Yumeta Company, with ARCH producing the anime.

Additional key staff members include:
