The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Makoto Kudo’s workplace romantic comedy manga, “My Awkward Senpai” (Bukiyō na Senpai.), has released its second main promotional video, offering a preview of the series’ ending theme song. The trailer highlights the awkward yet earnest relationship between the main characters and features “Bukiyō ni Kimi no Tonari” (Awkwardly Next to You), performed by Ami Maeshima.

The newly released second main trailer provides the first listen to the anime’s ending theme, “Bukiyō ni Kimi no Tonari.” This song is performed by Ami Maeshima, who also lends her voice to the character Miho Hotta within the series. Maeshima’s second solo CD single, which includes this track, is slated for a November 12, 2025 release in Japan.

“My Awkward Senpai” centers on Azusa Kannawa, an office worker often perceived as strict and cold due to her social awkwardness, and Yu Kamegawa, her new, easygoing, and kind junior colleague. The story explores how Kannawa navigates her developing feelings for Kamegawa despite her inherent clumsiness. The manga, created by Makoto Kudo, initially began as a webcomic in March 2019 before being serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine in December 2019.

The “My Awkward Senpai” anime is produced by Studio Elle, with Ayumu Kotake serving as the director. Mio Inoue is responsible for the series composition and scripts, while Kenrō Tokuda handles the character designs. The musical score for the series is composed by Kōji Fujimoto.
