The upcoming short anime series, Everyday Host, has revealed its theme song and official TV debut date. Based on the four-panel comedy manga by Tomo Goto, the series will premiere on April 4th on TV Tokyo and other networks. The anime promises to deliver outrageous daily life in the host industry in a short, accessible format.

Golden Bomber’s Kiryuin Sho Composes “Everyday Host” Theme Song

Kiryuin Sho, from the visual kei air band Golden Bomber, has written the theme song for Everyday Host. The song, titled “Everyday Host,” will be performed by the voice actors of the main characters: Hiro Shimono, Taku Yashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka, and Nobuhiko Okamoto, as the “EbuHosu Players.” A promotional video featuring the song has already been released on YouTube.

Kiryuin Sho’s Inspiration

Despite generally declining song requests, Kiryuin Sho was inspired by the “mysterious charm” of the Everyday Host story and characters. He aimed to create music and lyrics that would enhance the momentum of these characters and the overall viewing experience.

Director Rarecho’s Praise

Director and scriptwriter Rarecho (known for Aggressive Retsuko) expressed sincere gratitude to Kiryuin Sho for the theme song. Rarecho stated that the song eloquently captures the soul of the original work, even more so than the anime itself, and encapsulates themes of love, desire, loneliness, and frivolity.

‘Everyday Host’ Anime: Plot and Characters

Everyday Host is a gag comedy that follows the life of Hajime Sekiguchi, an ex-businessman who becomes a host at “Club One” after getting sick of his previous job. The anime is adapted from a web manga serialized on pixiv, Niconico Seiga, and other platforms starting in 2020.

Eccentric Cast of Characters

Sekiguchi joins a colorful cast of co-workers at Club One, including:

  • A younger-brother type host with over 20 years of experience.
  • A former idol specializing in romantic sales tactics.
  • A rough-looking host obsessed with social games.

Production Team

The anime is directed and scripted by Rarecho, with animation production by Fanworks.

Broadcast Details

Everyday Host will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and BS NTV as a short anime of approximately 3 minutes per episode, running for two consecutive cours (seasons) starting April 4, 2025.
