The anime adaptation of Sora Suigetsu and DeeCHA’s “Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi, S-Rank Bōkensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madōshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru” (The White Mage Who Was Banished From the Hero’s Party Is Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer: This White Mage Is Too Out of the Ordinary!) light novel series is generating buzz with the release of its first promotional video, revealing additional cast members and a preview of the opening song. Here’s a breakdown of the exciting updates.

Anime Overview

“Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Sareta Shiro Madōshi, S-Rank Bōkensha ni Hirowareru” is set to premiere in July 2025, adapting the adventure fantasy manga by Sora Suigetsu and Wasabi Mukuno. The story revolves around Lloyd, a white mage who is unexpectedly banished from the hero’s party. Finding himself jobless, he stumbles upon an opportunity to join an S-rank party on a quest. Unbeknownst to him, this chance encounter will lead to the hero’s party’s downfall and his own rise to fame. Lloyd, an unassuming yet extraordinary support magic user, embarks on a journey as an adventurer, unaware of his potential to become peerless.

  • Nichika Omori as Ryouen
  • Ryōhei Kimura as Allen

Opening Song

The promotional video offers a sneak peek at the anime’s opening song, “Junjō de Are” (Be of Pure Heart), performed by Gakuto Kajiwara, who also voices the main character, Lloyd. Kajiwara is credited for both the composition and lyrics of the opening theme. Fuwari (Dream Monster) is in charge of the theme song arrangement.

Source Material

The original light novel series by Sora Suigetsu began its serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2020. Futabasha later acquired the series and began publishing it under its M Novels label in November 2020, featuring illustrations by DeeCHA. As of November 2024, seven volumes have been released, with the two most recent volumes available exclusively as digital ebooks. A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno began serialization in Manga Gaugau in January 2021, and eight volumes have been released as of last November.
