New episodes of the beloved stop-motion animated series Pokémon Concierge are officially set to premiere on Netflix on September 4, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer during a recent Pokémon Presents event, offering a glimpse into protagonist Haru’s continuing adventures at the tranquil Pokémon Resort.
The series, which garnered widespread critical acclaim for its unique stop-motion animation, relaxing atmosphere, and heartfelt storytelling, first debuted on Netflix on December 28, 2023, with four episodes.
Haru’s Continuing Journey at the Pokémon Resort
The upcoming episodes will see Haru, a kind-hearted concierge who left a stressful city life behind, further embrace her role at the Pokémon Resort. The first season focused on Haru’s adjustment to her new environment and her blossoming bond with various Pokémon guests, particularly her loyal sidekick, Psyduck. The gentle, low-stakes narrative of the initial episodes, centered on Haru helping Pokémon guests with their unique needs, resonated deeply with viewers and critics alike.
What the New Trailer Reveals
The newly released trailer provides exciting hints about the challenges and heartwarming moments awaiting Haru. It shows a more self-assured Haru tackling new responsibilities alongside Psyduck. Viewers can anticipate meeting new Pokémon guests, including Sealeo, Shinx, Luxray, and Arcanine, as Haru navigates both sweet interactions and silly surprises.
A significant plot point teased in the trailer is the arrival of Kent, a mysterious visitor from the city with ties to Haru’s past, accompanied by his Arcanine. This suggests that while the series will maintain its cozy vibes, it will also delve into Haru confronting elements of her former life, adding a new layer to her journey of self-discovery and healing. Dan, a veteran trainer with his Sealeo, will also be introduced.
Production and Acclaim for Pokémon Concierge
Pokémon Concierge is a Japanese stop-motion original net animation (ONA) series, created through a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Dwarf Studios. Discussions for the series began in 2019, leading to several years of development before its initial release.
The series quickly gained a reputation for its charming visuals and unique approach to the Pokémon world, focusing less on battles and more on the peaceful coexistence and care of Pokémon. It earned international acclaim, including honors at both the 2024 Annie Awards and 2024 Annecy Awards, and achieved a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes at one point, becoming one of Pokémon’s highest-rated series.
Netflix first announced that further episodes were in production in February 2024, following the overwhelmingly positive reception of the initial four-episode run. Fans had been eagerly awaiting news of a second season, with many expressing a desire for more episodes almost immediately after the first season’s release due to its relaxing nature and unique aesthetic.
The series features Karen Fukuhara as the English voice of Haru, with Imani Hakim, Josh Keaton, and Lori Alan also in the English cast, joined by Jacob Bertrand as Kent and Craig Lee Thomas as Dan for the new episodes. Iku Ogawa directed the series, with Harumi Doki writing the screenplay and Tadahiro Uesugi responsible for concept art and character design.
As Pokémon Concierge returns, fans can anticipate more emotional storytelling, healing moments, and the distinctive “Pokémon magic” that made the first season a global success.
