A new anime adaptation of the renowned manga Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) is officially titled Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star – and is slated to begin airing and streaming in 2026. This new series marks the first Fist of the North Star anime in 18 years, commemorating the manga’s 40th anniversary.
Title and Release Details
The official title, Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star –, incorporates the manga’s English name within its Japanese title, a style reminiscent of the second Fullmetal Alchemist television anime. The 2026 release will feature an entirely new cast and creative team, utilizing the latest animation technology to bring the classic story to life. Warner Bros. Japan is producing the anime and will host a panel at Anime Expo 2025 on July 5, 2025 (PDT) to unveil a teaser promotional video and announce the main cast.
