Anime streaming service OceanVeil has officially announced it will simulcast the television anime adaptation of Takuya Shinjō’s “Hands off: Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun” manga this fall, with a commitment to stream the uncensored version for international audiences. The highly anticipated series is set to premiere in Japan on October 5, 2025, on Tokyo MX, with a broadcast time of 25:05 JST (effectively October 6 at 1:05 a.m. JST).
The news comes as fans eagerly await the adaptation of the popular “sports ecchi” manga, which promises a blend of athletic drama, comedy, and suggestive themes. OceanVeil’s decision to offer the uncut version aligns with its stated emphasis on “Anime That Remains True to its’ Japanese Roots” and “Serving the Fans.”
Diving into the Plot: Kotesashi Koyo’s Athletic Dorm Life
“Hands off: Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun” centers on Kōyō Kotesashi, a diligent high school freshman with a remarkable talent for massage therapy and an aspiring dream of becoming a sports doctor. To secure a scholarship for medical school, Koyo enrolls at Seiwa University High School, a renowned institution known for its powerhouse sports teams.
Hailing from a modest background, Koyo takes on a live-in position as the dormitory manager to cover his expenses. This new role thrusts him into a vibrant environment filled with uniquely talented, yet quirky, female athletes. His primary responsibility involves managing the dorm while also providing essential physical and mental care to these athletes. The narrative promises an unpredictable and daring chapter in Koyo’s life, intricately weaving together intense training, close-quarters dormitory living, and his therapeutic massage sessions.

The anime adaptation is being produced by WWWave Corporation’s Deregula anime label and animated by Studio Quad. Overseeing the project as director is Hisashi Saito, known for his work on titles such as I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? and Fantasista Doll.
The series composition is handled by Hagane Shirakigo, while Ryūsuke Tsukamoto is responsible for the character designs, and Chihiro Endō is composing the musical score. Additional staff include Daiki Ura for color design, Makoto Shiraishi as art director, Makoto Tōgō as compositing director of photography, Jun’ichi Masunaga for editing, and Kōhei Yoshida as sound director.

The series has garnered a dedicated following, with Kodansha having published its twelfth tankōbon volume in July 2025, and the thirteenth volume slated for release in October 2025. The manga’s success paved the way for its television anime adaptation, which was officially announced in March 2025.
While OceanVeil will be streaming the uncensored version internationally, in Japan, the “Complete Deregula Version” with uncensored and extended scenes will be exclusively available on the AnimeFesta service, alongside partially censored and fully censored broadcast versions on other streaming platforms. An advanced screening event for the anime is scheduled to take place in Tokyo on September 28.
