Kadokawa has released a new visual and announced additional cast members for the upcoming Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi (Film Little Shark’s Outings: The City’s Friend) anime film. The film is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2025.
New Visual and Cast Additions for Odekake Kozame Film
The new visual features Kozame-chan and introduces two new characters, Mohawk Aniki and Haruto. In addition to the visual, the voice actors for these characters have been revealed. Umehara Yuichiro will voice Mohawk Aniki, and Hanae Natsuki will voice Haruto.
Previously announced cast members include Kana Hanazawa as Kozame-chan, Megumi Han as Anko-chan, and Misaki Kuno as Usame-chan.

Odekake Kozame Film Collaboration with Bocchi the Rock!
A collaboration between the Odekake Kozame film and Bocchi the Rock! has been announced. Collaboration merchandise will be sold during AnimeJapan 2025.
About Odekake Kozame
Odekake Kozame is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Penguin Box. It began as a web manga on Twitter in June 2021 and was later serialized in Kadokawa Corporation and Enterbrain’s Aokishi magazine in October 2021. The manga follows the adventures of Kozame-chan, a little shark, in a nostalgic town.
Anime Adaptations
The manga has been adapted into an original net animation (ONA) series and an upcoming anime film.
- ONA Series: The ONA series, animated by ENGI and directed by Marina Maki, was released on YouTube from August 2023 to May 2024.
- Anime Film: The anime film, titled Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi, is directed by Chihiro Kumano and written by Hiroaki Nagashima. It is scheduled to open in Japan in Q3 2025.
