The upcoming Odekake Kozame anime film, officially titled Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi (Film Little Shark’s Outings: The City’s Friend), has revealed its theme song artist and additional cast members in its second trailer. The film is set to premiere on August 22.
Lozareena to Perform Theme Song

These new additions join a previously announced cast that includes Kana Hanazawa as Kozame-chan, Megumi Han as Ankō-chan, Misaki Kuno as Usame-chan, Yūichirō Umehara as Man with a Mohawk, Natsuki Hanae as Haruto, Manaka Iwami as Sora, and Rin Kurusu as Miho.
Film Production Details and Premise
The Odekake Kozame anime film is directed by Chihiro Kumano at ENGI, with Hiroaki Nagashima handling the script. Ayumi Takeuchi is responsible for character designs, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the music. Kadokawa is producing the film, with Kadokawa Animation overseeing its distribution in theaters.
The movie centers on Kozame-chan, a small shark, as she embarks on a grand adventure to the bustling, noisy, and bright city after being mesmerized by a poster. This film adaptation continues the narrative from Penguin Box’s popular Odekake Kozame manga series, which debuted on Twitter (now X) in June 2021. The manga’s first anime adaptation was a web series that ran from August 2023 to May 2024 on YouTube.
