A Delinquent in a Divine, Electric Kyoto
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse presents a unique blend of genres, combining elements of isekai, yankee (delinquent), and supernatural action. The story centers around Takeru Narehira, a high school delinquent who finds himself transported to an alternate, technologically advanced version of Heian-kyō (ancient Kyoto) called Denji Heian-kyō. In this “Tranquil Capital of Divine Lightning,” Takeru encounters Tsukimiya, a mysterious woman who has repeatedly appeared in his dreams.
Tragedy strikes when Takeru and Tsukimiya are attacked by Oni monsters and killed. However, Takeru discovers he has the power to travel back in time. Determined to save Tsukimiya and change fate, he resolves to learn onmyōjutsu (mystical arts) from Abe no Seimei, becoming an onmyōji sorcerer himself.
