Storyline and Adaptation
Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! (also known by its Japanese title Akujiki Reijō to Kyōketsu Kōshaku: Sono Mamono, Watashi ga Oishiku Itadakimasu!) is based on the light novel series written by Kanata Hoshi and illustrated by Peperon. The story originated on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2019, with Kodansha acquiring it in 2021. There is also a manga adaptation illustrated by Chika Mizube, which is published by Kodansha and available in English via Kodansha USA.
The plot centers on Melphiera, an earl’s daughter often shunned due to rumors about her unique eating habits. Her life takes a turn when she is saved from a monster attack by Aristide, the feared “Blood-Mad Duke.” Aristide soon develops an interest in Melphiera and her unusual “hobby,” setting the stage for a romantic fantasy filled with love, battles, and distinctive cuisine.
