The much-anticipated English dub of the fantasy romance anime “Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!” (Akujiki Reijō to Kyōketsu Kōshaku: Sono Mamono, Watashi ga Oishiku Itadakimasu!) began streaming on Crunchyroll on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The premiere episode introduces viewers to Lady Melphiera Marchalrayd, a noblewoman with an unusual affinity for monster-based cuisine, and Aristide of Galbraith, the formidable “Blood-Mad Duke.”

Originally slated for an April 2025 release, the anime’s premiere was delayed to October due to “various circumstances.” The Japanese subtitled version of the series began airing on TBS and BS11 on October 2, 2025.

The Story of the “Voracious Villainess” and the “Blood-Mad Duke”

“Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!” centers around Lady Melphiera Marchalrayd, an earl’s daughter who finds herself ostracized by much of society due to rumors surrounding her peculiar dietary preferences—she relishes monster meat. Despite the social stigma, Melphiera is a knowledgeable and passionate cook, determined to prove that monster meat can be transformed into exquisite cuisine.

Her life takes an unexpected turn at a party where, while attempting to find a suitor, she is attacked by a vicious monster. She is dramatically rescued by Aristide Rogier du Galbraith, the “Blood-Mad Duke,” a feared figure known for his relentless monster hunting. Far from being repulsed by Melphiera’s unique tastes, Aristide becomes intrigued by her and her unusual hobby, leading to a burgeoning romantic fantasy. The series blends elements of fantasy, food, monsters, and romance, with a fast-paced romantic plot.

English Dub Cast and Crew

The English dub features a talented voice cast bringing the fantastical world to life. Katie Wetch stars as the titular Melphie (Melphiera Marchalrayd), while Conner Allison lends his voice to Duke Aristide Rogier du Galbraith. Landon McDonald voices Chaos, and Daniel Van Thomas takes on the role of Ghislain. Leslie Marie Collins plays Celia, Joshua Waters is Mullan, and Whitney Holotik voices Talbot.

The English dub production team includes Shawn Gann as the voice director, Susie Nixon as the producer, and Domonique French handling the adaptation. Victor Acost is credited as the engineer.

Production Details and Original Works

The “Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!” anime is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Kanata Hoshi and illustrated by Peperon. The light novel series began serialization online in November 2019 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, with Kodansha later acquiring and publishing three volumes under their Kodansha Ranobe Books f imprint since April 2021.

A manga adaptation, with art by Chika Mizube, has also been serialized digitally via Kodansha’s K MANGA service and Pixiv-based Palcy website since March 2021, with eleven collected tankōbon volumes released. Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga adaptation in print in English.

The anime television series is produced by Asahi Production, with Mutsumi Takeda directing. Keiichirō Ōchi is responsible for series composition, Masato Katō handles character designs, and Takaaki Nakahashi composes the music. The opening theme song, “Sugary Story,” is performed by the idol group AVAM, while Shunichi Toki performs the ending theme song, “Kibō Kōdo.”

The anime is expected to have 12 episodes this season, with new episodes releasing on Thursdays. Crunchyroll streams the series globally, excluding Asia, with both English subtitles and English dubs available.
