The upcoming anime adaptation of “Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” has announced that Ami Maeshima will be joining the cast as the voice of Caren. This is the second of four consecutive weekly cast announcements, building anticipation for the series premiere in July 2025.

In addition to voicing Caren, Ami Maeshima will also perform the anime’s opening theme song, titled “Wish for You”.

About “Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter”
“Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” is based on the light novel series written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura. The story follows Allen, a promising young sorcerer who fails to secure his dream job at the royal court.
Synopsis
Unable to even afford the train fare back home, Allen is forced to find employment. His only lead is a tutoring position for Tina, the daughter of Duke Howard, one of the kingdom’s most powerful nobles. Despite her academic prowess, Tina is incapable of casting even the simplest of spells. With the Royal Academy entrance exams looming, Allen takes on the challenge of unraveling the mystery behind Tina’s inability to use magic.
Production
The anime adaptation is directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama at Studio Blanc, with Kazuya Ishikura as assistant director. Megumi Shimizu is in charge of series composition, while Akiko Toyoda handles character designs, and Kei Haneoka composes the music.

Light Novel and Manga
The “Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” light novel series began on the Kakuyomu website in October 2017. Kadokawa has been publishing the novels in print since December 2018, with 18 volumes released as of January 2025. A manga adaptation by Tamura Mutō has been serialized since September 2019, with four volumes released as of February 2024. J-Novel Club has licensed both the light novel and manga for English publication.
Release Date
The “Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2025.
