The second season of the popular isekai anime series, “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon,” officially concluded on September 17, 2025. Fans, however, have little time to mourn the end of Boxxo and Lammis’s latest adventures, as a third season has already been confirmed, promising more quirky dungeon escapades.

The finale episode of Season 2 aired on various networks, including Tokyo MX, and was available for streaming globally on Crunchyroll. This swift announcement of a follow-up season comes hot on the heels of the second season’s conclusion, mirroring the pattern seen after the first season’s finale in September 2023.

Season 2’s Journey: Enhanced Adventures and Critical Acclaim

“Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2” premiered on July 2, 2025, continuing the unique narrative of a vending machine enthusiast reincarnated as a sentient machine named Boxxo in a fantasy world. Accompanied by the strong hunter Lammis, Boxxo navigates perilous dungeons, utilizing his dispensing abilities and limited programmed phrases to support his companion and the allies they gather.

The second season, animated by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ, saw Takashi Yamamoto take over as director, with Tatsuya Takahashi handling series composition. The returning cast included Jun Fukuyama as Boxxo and Kaede Hondo as Lammis, bringing back the beloved duo. Critics have consistently praised the series for its fresh and unique take on the often-saturated isekai genre, particularly highlighting the compelling relationship between Boxxo and Lammis.

Production Details and Voice Cast

The production for Season 2 maintained the creative vision that garnered popularity for the first season. Key staff members included character designers Takahiro Sakai and Naoki Yamauchi, who adapted Yūki Hagure’s original designs for animation. The opening theme for the second season was “Mirai Cider (Future Cider)” by BRADIO, while the ending theme, “Boku Dake no Chiheisen” (A Horizon Only for Me), was performed by Aina Aiba.

The core Japanese voice cast included:

  • Jun Fukuyama as Boxxo
  • Kaede Hondo as Lammis
  • Miyu Tomita as Shui
  • Kazuya Nakai as Kerioil
  • Ai Kayano as Filmina
  • Atsushi Miyauchi as Kuma Kaicho

The series also featured an English dub, with Austin Tindle as Boxxo and Emily Neves as Lammis, among others.

What to Expect from Season 3

While specific details about the plot or release window for “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3” are yet to be announced, the confirmation of its production signals continued exploration of the fantasy world and Boxxo’s unique existence. Fans can anticipate further development of Boxxo’s abilities, Lammis’s growth as a hunter, and the introduction of new characters and challenges within the dungeon.

The anime is based on the light novel series written by Hirukuma, which first began as a web novel in 2016. Kadokawa Shoten later acquired and published the light novels, and a manga adaptation by Kunieda also began serialization in 2021. Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga for English release, ensuring that fans worldwide can follow the original story. The ongoing success and unique premise suggest that the adventures of the sentient vending machine are far from over.
