Fans of the unique isekai anime “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon” can mark their calendars as Season 2, Episode 9, is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The highly anticipated episode will continue the adventures of Boxxo and Lammis, with global audiences able to stream it on Crunchyroll.

Episode 9 Release Date and Streaming Information

“Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2” Episode 9 will officially drop on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:30 PM Japan Standard Time (JST). For viewers in North America, this translates to an early morning release: 7:30 AM Pacific Time (PT) and 10:30 AM Eastern Time (ET) on the same day.

Crunchyroll, the leading platform for anime streaming outside of Asia, will be simulcasting the episode, offering it with both English subtitles and same-day English dubs. This ensures that fans worldwide can keep pace with the latest developments in Boxxo’s dungeon escapades.

What to Expect: Plot Developments and Series Overview

The previous episode, titled “The Dark Forest Stratum,” saw Boxxo, Lammis, and Hulemy transported to a new and challenging environment. There, they reunited with Hevee and Shui, and also encountered Director Bear and other allies, as they provided assistance to the local inhabitants facing various difficulties. Episode 9 is expected to pick up directly from these events, delving deeper into the challenges and mysteries of the Dark Forest Stratum and showcasing Boxxo’s unique abilities as a sentient vending machine.

The series, based on Hirukuma’s light novel, follows a middle-aged man who, after a fatal traffic accident, finds himself reincarnated in a fantasy dungeon world—as a vending machine. Unable to move on his own or speak beyond pre-programmed phrases, he relies on his unique dispensing capabilities and the help of his adventurer companion, Lammis, to survive and thrive. The blend of fantasy, comedy, and isekai tropes has garnered the anime a dedicated fanbase.

Production Details and Returning Talent for Season 2

The second season of “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon” was officially announced shortly after the conclusion of Season 1 in September 2023. Studios Gokumi and AXsiZ, responsible for the first season’s animation, have returned for Season 2. Takashi Yamamoto has taken over as director for the second season, with Tatsuya Takahashi continuing to oversee the series composition. The main voice cast, including Jun Fukuyama as Boxxo and Kaede Hondo as Lammis, have also reprised their roles.

Looking Ahead: Season 2 Episode Count

“Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2” premiered on July 2, 2025. The second season is anticipated to consist of 13 episodes, a slight increase from Season 1’s 12 episodes. New episodes are scheduled to release weekly on Wednesdays until the season finale on September 24, 2025. This consistent release schedule allows fans to enjoy the ongoing adventures of Boxxo and Lammis throughout the summer and early fall.
