Anime distributor REMOW announced on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, that it has acquired the licensing rights for Fermat Kitchen, the television anime adaptation of Yūgo Kobayashi’s popular manga Fermat no Ryōri (also known as Fermat’s Cuisine). The first five episodes of the culinary drama are set to premiere this Saturday, August 9, on REMOW’s “It’s Anime” channel available via Samsung TV Plus and its dedicated YouTube channel.
Streaming Details and Release Schedule
Following the initial five-episode drop, new episodes of Fermat Kitchen will debut weekly on Saturdays, with episode six scheduled for August 16 and episode seven for August 23. This North American distribution by REMOW expands the anime’s global reach, as it previously premiered in Japan on July 5, 2025, airing on TV Asahi and its affiliates within the “IMAnimation” programming block. While REMOW handles distribution in North America, Fermat Kitchen is also available through other platforms in different regions, such as Ani-One Asia’s official YouTube channel in Asia, ADN in France and Germany, and Prime Video in Latin America.
The Story Behind “Fermat Kitchen”
Fermat Kitchen centers on Gaku Kitada, a mathematics prodigy whose dreams of becoming a mathematician are derailed. He encounters Kai Asakura, a talented and enigmatic young chef who runs his own food business. Gaku then joins Kai, embarking on an unexpected journey into the world of haute cuisine, where he applies his mathematical brilliance to cooking, creating unique and precise recipes.
The series is based on Yūgo Kobayashi’s manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Magazine in September 2018 and had accumulated five volumes as of April 2025. The manga’s popularity led to a live-action TV drama adaptation that aired from October to December 2023, prior to the anime’s announcement in January 2025.
Production and Creative Team
The Fermat Kitchen anime is produced by Domerica studio, which is also credited for series composition and scriptwriting. Takeshi Okamoto and Satsuki Kashiwagi serve as chief directors and character designers, with Miyuki Kaieda as assistant director. Mari Takada is the art director, and Satoshi Igarashi is composing the music. The opening theme song for the anime is “Maillard” by OSHIKIKEIGO, and the ending theme is “Change Over” by DXTEEN.

Other cast members include Daichi Endō as Hotei Katsuya, Takuma Nagatsuka as Milo Vivia, Natsu Yorita as Ranna Akamatsu, Tatsumaru Tachibana as Magoroku Inui, Haruna Ikezawa as Nene Fukuda, Anna Nagase as Ayu Uomi, Shion Wakayama as Kagura Musashi, and Makoto Furukawa as Ichitarō Hirose.
