Contrary to recent inquiries, the manga series Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty (Japanese: ロックは淑女の嗜みでして, Rokku wa Redi no Tashinami deshite) by Hiroshi Fukuda, is currently ongoing and has not been reported to be on hiatus.
The series began its serialization in Hakusensha’s seinen manga magazine Young Animal in October 2022. As of March 2025, seven tankōbon volumes have been released in Japan. Yen Press announced in April 2025 that they have licensed the series for English publication, with the first volume slated for release in September 2025. Manga resource websites also list the series as “Ongoing” in its country of origin, with recent updates affirming its continuous publication.
An anime television series adaptation of Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty, produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, aired from April to June 2025, concluding its 13-episode run. This conclusion of the anime season might lead to some confusion regarding the status of the original manga. However, discussions surrounding the anime’s finale in June 2025 indicated that the manga had ample material and was still actively publishing new chapters.
