The upcoming anime adaptation of Keiichiro Shibuya’s manga, “Introduction to Mineralogy” (Ruri no Hōseki), also known as “Ruri Rocks!,” has revealed exciting new details, including additional staff, theme songs, and its official premiere date. The second promotional video, released by Aniplex, teases fans with a closer look at the series, which is set to begin broadcasting on July 6, 2025.
Premiere Details
The anime will first air on the AT-X channel at 9:00 p.m. JST (8:00 a.m. EDT). Following its debut, it will be broadcast on Tokyo MX at 9:30 p.m. JST and BS11 at 10:30 p.m. JST. Subsequently, ABC TV and TV Aichi will begin airing the series on July 9. Additionally, fans in Tokyo can attend an advance screening of the first episode on June 28.
Theme Songs Revealed
The promotional video also unveiled and previewed the opening and ending theme songs for “Ruri Rocks!”:

Synopsis
“Ruri Rocks!” follows the story of Ruri Tanigawa, a high school student with a passion for jewelry and accessories. Her life takes an exciting turn when she meets Nagi Arato, a mineralogy graduate student. Nagi introduces Ruri to the fascinating world of mineral collecting, leading her on adventures to mountains, rivers, and caves in search of hidden gems. The series highlights the beauty of minerals like quartz, garnet, pyrite, gold sand, and fluorite while showcasing the specialized tools and knowledge needed for mineral collecting.

The anime is directed by Shingo Fujii (known for “ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!”) at Studio Bind. The series composition is handled by Michiko Yokote (who worked on “Shirobako,” “Prison School,” and “Princess Tutu”).
