Ryōsuke Asakura’s fantasy action drama manga, Anastasia no Ikita 9-kakan, also known as The Last 9 Days of Anastasia, is set to conclude its serialization in September. The series, which began earlier this year, has been running in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine.
Journey of The Last 9 Days of Anastasia
The manga, subtitled “The Last 9 Days of Anastasia,” debuted in the March 2024 issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan on February 9, 2024. It is described as a fantasy action drama, drawing readers into a world embroiled in a “Millennium War” between the forces of “Light” and “Darkness.”
The central premise revolves around the Light God Cult, which, in a desperate defensive battle, succeeds in summoning a hero of light. However, a cruel prophecy foretells this hero’s death just nine days after their arrival. The story, therefore, chronicles the “last hope from its birth to its death,” making it a poignant and intense narrative. As of late February 2025, the manga had released two volumes.
