Ryuta Amazume’s manga series, Jofū, is drawing to a close. The announcement was made in the third issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine, revealing that the series will conclude in just two chapters.
Final Chapters and Publication Schedule
Fans can anticipate the penultimate chapter appearing in the magazine’s fifth issue on February 28th. Barring any unforeseen delays, the final chapter is slated for release on March 14th, marking the end of the series.
Jofū: Exploring the Female-Oriented Sex Industry
Jofū delves into the sex industry with a specific focus on services catered to women. Amazume initially introduced the concept as a one-shot manga in Young Animal in March 2021. The positive reception led to a full serialization, which began in December 2021.
Manga Volume Releases
Hakusensha has been compiling the chapters into tankōbon volumes. The fifth volume was released in July 2024, and the sixth volume was released on January 29, 2025. The final volumes will likely cover the concluding chapters of the manga.

Nana & Kaoru: A Breakthrough Series
Amazume’s most well-known work is arguably Nana & Kaoru (Nana to Kaoru), which began its run in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Arashi magazine in 2008. The series later transitioned to the main Young Animal magazine in 2009 and concluded in August 2016.

Amazume further expanded the Nana & Kaoru universe with spin-off series. Nana to Kaoru: Black Label concluded in 2014. Another spin-off, Nana to Kaoru ~Kōkōsei no SM Gokko~ (High Schoolers’ S&M Play), launched in the inaugural issue of Hakusensha’s Harem magazine in November 2018 and ended in October 2021. The manga’s fifth and final volume shipped in December 2021. This particular spin-off is set during Nana and Kaoru’s third year of high school.
