The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Scum of the Brave (Yūsha no Kuzu) has released its second promotional video, offering a sneak peek at the series’ opening theme song, “GUN POWDER” by TOOBOE. The anime is set to premiere on January 10, 2026, and will be broadcast on Nippon TV and its affiliates, with Crunchyroll streaming the series internationally.
A Glimpse into the Supernatural Underworld
The new promotional video provides further insight into the gritty, supernatural world of Scum of the Brave. Set in a mid-21st century Tokyo where crime bosses transform into “Demon Lords” through “ether-enhancement surgery,” the series follows bounty hunters known as “Braves” who utilize a drug called E3 to enhance their own ether abilities and combat these powerful foes. The preview highlights the dark action and comedic elements that define the story, revolving around the reluctant “Grim Reaper” Yashiro and his self-proclaimed apprentice, high school student Aki Jougamine.
TOOBOE’s “GUN POWDER” Takes the Lead
