Seven Seas Entertainment, a leading publisher of manga, light novels, and original comics, continues to expand its diverse catalog with the recent acquisition of six new manga series. These new licenses, announced on October 29th, 2025, span a variety of genres including romantic comedy, Boys’ Love (BL), and Girls’ Love (yuri), promising exciting new reads for English-speaking audiences. The acquisitions highlight Seven Seas’ ongoing commitment to bringing popular and unique Japanese titles to Western markets.
Expanding the Digital and Print Libraries
The newly licensed titles are set to be released in English print and digital formats throughout 2026, offering fans a wide array of stories to delve into. From supernatural rom-coms to heartfelt Boys’ Love sequels and charming yuri tales, Seven Seas aims to cater to diverse reader preferences.
Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy
This romantic comedy series, written and illustrated by Nonco, introduces Kanan, a female demon with a mission to devour human souls. Her plan takes an unexpected turn when she targets a high school boy named Kyogi Yoji and somehow ends up in a romantic relationship with him instead. The manga explores the humorous chaos that ensues as the innocent demon navigates the complexities of first love.
Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in June 2022. Seven Seas will release the series in 2-in-1 omnibus editions, with the first volume slated for July 2026. Fans can also look forward to an anime television series adaptation produced by Studio Kai, which is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2026.
PUNKS TRIANGLE stitch
For fans of Boys’ Love, Seven Seas has licensed PUNKS TRIANGLE stitch by Yuho Okita, a sequel to the already popular PUNKS TRIANGLE. The story continues the romance between Chiaki, an aspiring fashion designer, and Ai (also known as Enaga), a charismatic male model. As Chiaki enjoys his dream relationship with his idol, new challenges arise when he notices Ai spending more time with a classmate named Rin, prompting questions about the longevity and resilience of their love.
The original PUNKS TRIANGLE manga, also available from Seven Seas, explores themes of mistaken identity within a fashion-focused love triangle. PUNKS TRIANGLE stitch is anticipated to be released in English in August 2026 as part of Seven Seas’ BL Label. The first PUNKS TRIANGLE manga has also inspired a live-action show adaptation.
Yuri Yuri Panic
Adding to their robust Girls’ Love (yuri) lineup, Seven Seas has acquired Yuri Yuri Panic by Kanko Nakamura. This romantic comedy manga follows Akari, an ordinary high school student whose life is turned upside down on her first day when the strikingly beautiful Kiyozumi Runa proposes marriage to her. The series promises an adorable and chaotic rom-com as Akari navigates this unexpected development, especially when Runa ends up staying at her house.
Yuri Yuri Panic is slated for an English release in September 2026, available in single large-trim editions under the Seven Seas GL label. This acquisition reinforces Seven Seas’ reputation as a significant publisher of yuri content in English.
More Exciting Licenses from Seven Seas
Beyond these highlighted titles, Seven Seas also announced the acquisition of three other compelling manga series:
- Puniru is a Kawaii Slime by MAEDAKUN: This unique take on the “slime craze” genre features a boy whose slime suddenly transforms into an adorable, yet stubborn, girl. The first omnibus volume is expected in August 2026. This manga has also inspired a TV anime adaptation.
- Harem Camp! by Yuuki HB: Released under the mature-rated Ghost Ship imprint, this series follows a man whose solo camping trip takes an unexpected, and very adult, turn when he encounters a group of lost young women. An 8-episode TV anime adaptation was released in 2022. The first English volume is expected in October 2026.
- My Useless Cuddle Skill Awakened, and Now I’m Building the Ultimate Harem! by Marusei and Denjinekogakudan: Also for the Ghost Ship imprint, this manga centers on a former dropout who, after enrolling in a prestigious academy, receives a peculiar “cuddle skill” that leads him down a path of adventure and, as the title suggests, harem-building. The first volume is set for release in September 2026.
Seven Seas’ Continued Impact on the Manga Market
These latest licensing announcements underscore Seven Seas Entertainment’s proactive role in diversifying the English-language manga landscape. By securing a wide array of titles across popular genres, including shonen, yuri, and Boys’ Love, Seven Seas continues to cater to a broad readership and contribute significantly to the growth and accessibility of Japanese comics worldwide. Their consistent efforts ensure that fans have access to both established series and exciting new entries from Japan’s vibrant manga industry.
These forthcoming releases will undoubtedly offer fresh stories and engaging characters, solidifying Seven Seas’ position as a key player in the global manga publishing scene.
