Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the acquisition of licenses for two new manga series: Masahiro Abe’s comedic “Cheeky Devil Cop!” and Hiru Morino’s action-packed “Luna Knight.” These titles are part of a broader slate of new licenses revealed by the publisher, expanding their diverse catalog of Japanese manga and light novels.
Diving into “Cheeky Devil Cop!”
“Cheeky Devil Cop!” (Japanese title: Omaera Zenin Tokumei Keiji!) by Masahiro Abe introduces readers to a devil whose mission to find the “perfect evil man” leads her to an unexpected target: a righteous police officer. The narrative revolves around her creative attempts to corrupt him and make him her own, despite his efforts to send her back to the underworld. This comedic series promises a devilishly fun premise.
The manga is expected to launch its first English volume in September 2026. Masahiro Abe is also known for the manga Invasion!
Unveiling the World of “Luna Knight”
Hiru Morino’s “Luna Knight” (sometimes translated as “Lune Knight”) plunges readers into a world of action and intrigue. The story follows Luna Amano, a high school girl with fragmented memories of her past, whose life is irrevocably altered when mobsters burn down her sister’s flower shop. This tragic event triggers resurfacing memories and hidden abilities, thrusting her into a dangerous world of fighting and gunplay as she embarks on a path of revenge. The series is described as an action-packed tale about a sleeper agent and her journey to uncover her past and confront those who wronged her.
The first volume of “Luna Knight” is slated for an English release in August 2026, with both print and digital editions planned.
