Yūki Imada’s Shadow the Hedgehog manga has reached its conclusion, marking the end of its serialization in Shogakukan’s Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine. The final chapter was published on February 15th in the March issue of the magazine, bringing the curtain down on the adventures of the jet-black hedgehog.

Manga Details

The manga, penned and illustrated by Yūki Imada, debuted in Monthly Coro Coro Comics in September 2024. It served as a tie-in to the “Sonic x Shadow Generations” game. Fans can anticipate the release of a compiled book volume of the Shadow the Hedgehog manga in April 2025, which will collect the entire series into a single edition.

About Yūki Imada

Yūki Imada is a Japanese manga artist known for works in the children’s manga magazine Coro Coro Comics. Before “Shadow the Hedgehog,” Imada ended the Mini4King manga with Hiroyuki Takei in April 2023.

Shadow’s Big Year

The conclusion of the manga coincides with a significant year for Shadow the Hedgehog. The character is set to feature prominently in the upcoming live-action Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, which opened in December 2024 and topped the U.S. box office with a weekend earning of $60,102,146.

Shadow’s Continued Presence

Despite the end of the manga, Shadow the Hedgehog remains a prominent figure in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.

Sonic X Shadow Generations

Shadow is a central character in the Sonic X Shadow Generations video game, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A DLC, the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack, allows players to explore modern-day Shibuya as Shadow, voiced by Keanu Reeves.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Shadow will also appear in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, a racing game currently in development for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
