The anime adaptation of Norishiro-chan and Yukiji Setsuda’s manga series, “The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses” (Kizetsu Yūsha to Ansatsu Hime), has released its main promotional video, revealing the opening theme song “Tenden Barabara” performed by Yoshino. The anime is set to premiere on July 5, 2025, and will be streamed by Crunchyroll as part of their Summer 2025 lineup.
A Sneak Peek into the Plot
“The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses” follows the story of Toto, a hero with exceptional skills but burdened by extreme shyness. His shyness prevents him from forming a party and realizing his full potential. One day, three beautiful women – Ciel, Anemone, and Gore – invite him to join their party. Unbeknownst to Toto, these women are assassins plotting to kill him, each taking turns to carry out their deadly mission. This sets the stage for a harem-style romantic comedy filled with dark humor and unexpected twists.

Studio CONNECT is handling the animation, with Noriaki Akitaya as the director. The series composition is by Michiko Yokote, character designs are by Takao Sano, and the music is composed by Shun Narita.
