The upcoming anime adaptation of Matsuri Isora’s “Silent Witch” light novel series is brewing excitement with a fresh reveal of additional cast members, key staff details, and confirmation of a July premiere. New Faces Join the Enchanting Cast
Adding to the already stellar lineup, two new voice actors will be lending their talents to bring beloved characters to life:
- Shogo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton
These new additions join the previously announced main cast:
- Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett, the titular Silent Witch
- Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Monica’s feline familiar

The anime is being brought to life by a talented team at Studio Gokumi, with Takaomi Kanasaki (known for his work on KonoSuba and Princess Connect! Re:Dive) serving as the chief director, series composition writer, and scriptwriter, as well as handling the sound direction. Yasuo Iwamoto (Princess Connect! Re:Dive season 2) is directing the anime. The character designs are crafted by Cona Nitanda.

What is “Silent Witch” About?
“Secrets of the Silent Witch” tells the story of Monica Everett, a powerful mage known as the “Silent Witch” because she can use magic without chanting. In a world where incantations are necessary for magic, Monica is the only one who can use Voiceless Magic. She is a heroine who single-handedly defeated a legendary black dragon. Despite her incredible power and status as one of the Seven Sages, Monica is actually incredibly shy and avoids speaking in public.
A Shy Hero’s Secret Mission
The Seven Sages, unaware of Monica’s shyness, task her with a top-secret mission: to guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill. Monica must overcome her social anxiety while protecting the prince from various threats. Assuming the name “Monica Norton”, she enrolls at Serendia Academy to secretly protect the Second Prince.
From Light Novel to Anime: The Journey So Far
The “Silent Witch” series began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (“Let’s Become Novelists”) website in February 2020, penned by Matsuri Isora. Kadokawa began publishing the light novels in June 2021, and as of February 2025, nine volumes have been released. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tobi Tana began serialization on Enterbrain’s B’s Log Comic manga website in July 2021.
Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga for English publication, ensuring that fans worldwide can enjoy Monica’s enchanting story.
