Aniplex has released the first three minutes of footage from the upcoming Silent Witch anime adaptation, alongside revealing a new cast member and details about its opening theme song. The anime is based on Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series, Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch in English. The series is set to premiere on July 4, 2025, broadcasting on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11, with streaming also available on Crunchyroll.
First Three Minutes and Plot Introduction
The released footage offers viewers an early look at the anime’s animation and tone. The first episode’s synopsis reveals Monica Everett, the Silent Witch and one of the Seven Sages, is approached by Louis Miller, another member of the Seven Sages, for a secret mission: to guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, who attends the prestigious Serendia Academy. Monica, despite her immense magical power, is exceptionally shy and initially reluctant to accept the assignment. Her “Voiceless Magic” was originally developed as a way to avoid public speaking.
New Cast Member Joins
Ai Kayano has been announced as a new cast member, voicing the character Claudia. Claudia is a second-year student at Serendia Academy, known as a “walking library,” whose family of intellectuals is considered a national treasure. She joins a previously announced cast that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, and Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller. Other cast members include Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham, and M.A.O as Rynzbelfeid.
