The highly anticipated “Silent Witch” anime has offered fans an early glimpse with the release of its first three minutes of footage. This preview, alongside revelations about a new cast member and details regarding the opening theme song, arrived during a recent livestream presented by Aniplex. The anime is an adaptation of Matsuri Isora’s light novel series, “Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto” (also known as “Secrets of the Silent Witch”). It is set to premiere on July 4, 2025, in Japan, and will be streamed worldwide by Crunchyroll.

Aniplex showcased the initial three minutes of the anime’s first episode, providing viewers with an early look at the adaptation. This sneak peek features protagonist Monica Everett and a conversation with Annie, along with a “surprise” from Louis. The preview offers insight into the anime’s visual style and initial pacing.

Joining the voice cast is Ai Kayano, who will be lending her voice to the character Claudia. Claudia is described as a “walking library”. Previously announced cast members include Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, and Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham. M.A.O. also joins the cast as Rynzbelfeid.
Opening Song Details
The opening theme song for the “Silent Witch” anime is titled “Feel” and is performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. The song is scheduled to be available for streaming in Japan starting July 4, 2025. Hitsujibungaku will also perform the ending theme song, “mild days”.

The anime is being produced by Studio Gokumi, with Yasuo Iwamoto directing and Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, as well as handling series composition and scripts. Cona Nitanda is responsible for character designs. The music for the series is composed by Cygames and Rina Tayama.
The story of “Silent Witch” centers on Monica Everett, a powerful mage known as the “Silent Witch” who can use voiceless magic. Despite her formidable abilities, she is extremely shy and learned silent magic to avoid public speaking. Her current mission, unknown to most, is to secretly guard the Second Prince.
