The End of a Short Run for Reiji Agasa’s Series
Fans of Reiji Agasa’s Sirens Won’t Sing For You will see the manga reach its finale in early November, marking a relatively brief run since its debut. The 35th chapter will be the last installment for the series, which first launched on January 13, 2025, on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform and simultaneously in English on MANGA Plus. The series will conclude less than a year after its initial publication.
A Tale of Sirens and Forbidden Love
Sirens Won’t Sing For You tells the story of Kanoha Takanashi, a descendant of sirens who finds herself deeply infatuated with her classmate, Kei Shibuya. The central conflict of the narrative stems from the sirens’ unique and dangerous nature: they yearn to consume the object of their affection. Despite this inherent desire, Kanoha gathers the courage to confess her feelings to Kei, only to face an immediate rejection. This pivotal moment leads her to uncover a surprising secret about her crush, fundamentally altering both their lives. The series has been praised for its blend of humor, action, and romance, offering a fresh take on the fantasy romance genre by incorporating elements typically found in shonen manga.
