The anime adaptation of Yūdai Debata’s popular manga, Solo Camping for Two (Futari Solo Camp), is gearing up for its television premiere. A new promotional video has been released, revealing additional cast members and confirming the July 10 premiere date. Fans can look forward to the series launch on Tokyo MX, followed by BS Asahi and Nagasaki Culture Telecasting Corporation on July 11, and Yomiuri TV on July 15.

Story Premise
Solo Camping for Two centers around Gen Kinokura, a 34-year-old seasoned solo camper who cherishes his solitary excursions into nature. His peaceful routine is disrupted by Shizuku Kusano, a 20-year-old novice camper who is determined to experience solo camping despite her lack of experience. The series follows their unexpected journey as they end up “solo camping” together.

Cast Comments
Saya Aizawa, who voices Saya Ozora, describes her character as one of Shizuku’s best friends. She notes that Saya sometimes makes outrageous remarks that drive the story and the relationship between the two protagonists. Aizawa aimed to portray Saya with kindness, emphasizing that all her actions are done with Shizuku in mind.
Yuna Nemoto, the voice of Mizuki Hino, initially saw her character as cool and boyish. However, she realized that Mizuki supports and watches over Shizuku’s growth, much like a parent. Nemoto was struck by the contrast between her initial impression and Mizuki’s caring nature.
